I've installed Sonos in townhouses on River Road in Bethesda where the brick walls fight the signal. I've pulled fiber across acre lots in Potomac and Great Falls because Wi-Fi alone couldn't reach the pool house. I've built Atmos theaters in Chevy Chase Victorian basements where joists are 130 years old and need to be drilled with patience.
I've seen every Lutron generation from the original RadioRA to RA2 Select to today's RA3. I've spec'd Sonos for the casual setups, Bluesound for the audiophile builds, and I know which one fits which house because I've been in those houses.
I've also seen what doesn't work. I've ripped out competitor installs that used Crestron when Apple Home would have done the job. I've fixed cable management that the previous installer crammed into walls with no plan for next-decade upgrades. The thing 22 years gives you is the pattern recognition. The thing one project doesn't.
